MERRY CHRISTMAS !
Yes, I said CHRISTMAS. You probably haven't heard that very much this Christmas season. Hearing instead "Happy Holidays" or " How many of you have decorated your "Holiday Tree yet?" Perhaps you even wished someone "a good Kwanzaa". Well in the Jeep's world it is still Christmas !
As you can see the Jeep is all dressed up decorated for the occasion. He has high hopes that Santa won't bring him the same gift as last year.
This year has been another lean year for Save the Jeep with contributions trickling in much slower than expected. In fact, the only contribution received so far was from a generous young man named Michael who happens to be college student. Its good to know there are people in the next generation that appreciate and want to preserve an American classic like a Jeep CJ-5. I'm sure the fact that Michael happens to be dating my daughter has no direct bearing on his appreciation of Jeeps. However, guilt (and a smack on the head by Carol) caused me to return the contribution with thanks and appreciation of the thought.
The children and their mother continue to consume all available resources that could (and should) be used to buy the Jeep what it needs. Instead, I've been told, by she who must be obeyed, that I want to be a "producer"(the money guy) for All Day Dreamer Music and Daniel Watters Presents. Ah.. the music business is grand !
I was also told, by you know who, that having my daughter travel all over the country to places like Florida and San Francisco is a good thing and educational. Once again investing in the children's future(s) seems to take priority over the really important things like Save the Jeep. Shannon's internship at Dreamworks has gone very well and given her valuable experience working for a large studio. Both kids are getting good grades and seem to enjoy school even though their school(s) are located in a Hell Hole like Los Angeles.
So the Jeep waits patently for Santa to realize his mistake from last year and bring him all the things he "needs" and deserves.
So in the words of Mel Torme as performed by the golden voice of Nat King Cole. The Christmas Song
“...And so, I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although its been said
Many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to.. You!”
