February 2012

Well another Christmas has come and gone.  As dedicated followers of Save the Jeep, I’m sure your all curious what wonderful things Santa brought the Jeep.  Well the answer is zilch, zip, nada!  Not even a piece of coal.   Well, to be honest, that is not exactly true either.

The Jeep did receive a roll of John Wayne toilet paper (“its rough, its tough, and doesn’t take crap off anyone”) and a contribution of 1 cent.  Both gifts came from my “Major Contributor”.  At first I assumed this meager contribution was directly due to the “stellar” results of Obama’s stimulus package.  However, further review made me realize that could not be so, as the stimulus package only put jobs and money into union workers hands. But I  digress.  So why the small contribution?  Well it seems my young protégé has a Father that requires her to earn her allowance by doing chores around the house.  Outrageous !  How can my “new hope” be expected to do menial tasks like clean up after the dog, clean her room, and complete her homework when there are friends to text and things to discuss on your cell phone?  Obviously, her Father (aka Darth Maul or is it Voldemort?) just doesn’t understand my “new hope” and apparently has no regard for the well being and upkeep of the Jeep. This abysmal ignorance of what is really important is shocking.

To add insult to injury, Santa was very good to the perpetrators.  I think my wife (aka “She Who Must Be Obeyed”) enjoys seeing the Jeep wallow in squaller while the perpetrators rake in the goods.  This is just wrong on so many levels.

Perpetrator 1,  received a very special guitar from her Uncle Doug, and a whole laundry list of other things from indulgent family members.  Did I mention the Jeep got nothing?  Here you see Perpetrators 1 & 2 eating my food, drinking my single malt scotch, while planning more ways to steal  resources from the Jeep.  Brings a tear to your eye doesn’t it?

After the new year, Shannon completed a huge project at Boom (Adventure Time-Book 1).  She also received her annual evaluation and earned a 10 out of 10 score.   While I am very proud of her, all this good news doesn’t put any new parts on the jeep!

Perpetrators 2 & 3 got so many gifts you’d think they celebrated both Hanukkah and Christmas.  BTW, I can’t remember... did I mention the jeep got zippy-do-da?  Here you see Daniel and Jenna looking innocent while hiding their subversive plots against the Jeep.  I could go on and on about these despicable deeds, but why bring everybody down. I’m hoping 2012 will be better for the Jeep.

New Years Eve was very exciting this year.   We had the opportunity to ring in the New Year with Perpetrators 2 & 3 and their accomplices (aka The Oak Creek Band)  in Breckenridge, CO.   They put on a terrific show!  They also released a song from their up coming EP called 2012.  Listen to and/or buy it here.   The full EP will be released sometime this Spring.   Shortly after that, the Oak Creek Band came to AZ to perform a few shows prior to the Glendale Glitter & Glow Block Party on January 14th.   It was a very cool setting/venue and the crowd loved them!

HERE is a Montage of the band’s 2011 journey using their just released single “2012”.

So as the Perpetrators continue to move their lives and careers forward, the Jeep continues to slowly deteriorate.  You might be asking yourself “how does the Jeep get through the day with this continual abuse? Well he keeps his hopes up by singing a little song (prayer?) called “someone to watch over me”.
